Sgian dubh
Considering my location, making a sgian dubh was called for - The main difference with this knife as compared to the last two is that it has only one sharp side, as is traditional. Most flint knapped knifes obviously have two sharp side’s, but regardless I overcome this by only filing one side. Some knapped knives do have pressure flakes that extend across a knifes blade like those on this blade but are more set at an angle. I think next time I will file the grooves at more of an angle with a narrower file to better imitate various flint arrow heads of similar patterns.
The handle had no leather built up on the tang which enabled me to braid a flattish handle fitting much better into the extended 12 bight knife knot pouch.
